15 Things You Need In Your Wardrobe For 2015

1. Faux Fur
Faux fur is the new fur! And today you can find it everywhere and on everything! If you're into funky colours, styles and respectable brands, check out Shrimps!

2. Flared Jeans
The skinny jean has ruled our life, and people a staple in everyone and their grandmas wardrobe, and by all means keep their coveted spot, but make room for the flared jean. How much flare you choose to wear is completely up to you, I feel that the larger the flare, the higher the shoe, to maintain good proportions. Topshop jeans are some of my faves!

3. Culottes or Bermuda Shorts
Remember last year how culottes were a thing but rarely did you seem anyone actually wearing, and pulling, them off; well this year more styles, lengths, colour, and fabric options have become available and these shorts have been perfected. If you have shorter leg opted for a bermuda short, and if you have legs for days take advantage of this trend, it was made for you!

4. 70's Inspired Items
If you're a hippie at heart, this ones for you, grab you paisley prints, pussy bow blouses, and billowy sleeved tops and peace out!
Emilio Pucci
5. Socks with Heels
Within reason, if you're wearing a heel that's more dainty aim for a thinner sock, but if you're rocking a chunky block-heel boot, pull on your fave knit socks! This looks best when worn with dresses, and skirt, really anything when you're showing off your legs. Mix it up with scrunching them down, pulling them up, contrasting the colours and prints, or choosing some with a lace trim that can peek out above the top strap!

6. Denim
This doesn't necessarily mean wearing a Canadian tuxedo, but try incorporating denim into other aspects of your outfit. God bless Alexa Chung and her new line out for AG!
Here are some tips on how to incorporate it into your wardrobe via Net-a-Porter!

7. Wide Legged Pants
Let it all hang loose, pair with anything cropped to keep your outfit looking balanced, such as a crop top, cropped kimono, or leather jacket. These come in a wide selection of prints and fabrics, you could even go vintage!

8. Pink
Moschino took pink to a new level with their SS15 RTW collection, if Barbie isn't exactly the style icon you choose to channel this year, opt for a powder pink dust coat, a classic cropped trouser, or bold lipstick to brighten up any outfit!

9. Skinny Scarf
Say 'ello to the skinny scarf, perfectly paired with any outfit, worn draped long, or wrapped loosely around the neck. It's the perfect piece to give the illusion of a taller, slimmer you, as it leads the eye up and down and won't add unnecessary volume or weight!

10. Flower Print
Oh boy how original, a floral print, I feel that they have been done one and then 100 times after that, but maybe that's because it a pattern that will never not be in style! This year make florals work all year long, by purchasing it in style that isn't to spring/summery, but more neutral and will be able to add colour to your autumn/winter outfits.

11. Festival Prints
Nothing beats the freedom you feel at a festival! Whether that be from the open space, the music, or by what you're wearing! Normally festivals are a time to bring out your most outlandish prints and get away with it. This year, carrying that freedom throughout all of the seasons, and pair your festival gear with more toned down pieces like you favourites jeans, new a-line skirt or fave pair of dungarees!

12. Smart Suit
The co-ords, more professional, but laid back uncle. This blazer and pant combo is a lot less structured and therefore more relaxed than the average tailored suit, wear it because you want to look put together while being casual and you love anything in the co-ord family.

13. Handkerchief
Think of this more as a square scarf, it sounds a bit chicer that way. This is going to be one on the accessories this year and since it's a lighter scarf it's suitable for all seasons. Wear it tied around your neck à la posh Parisienne females or draped in a triangle at the front of your neck. This will take your outfit from amazing to ah-mazing!

14. Snake Skin
Again it's all about the faux, depending on your personality is how big you want to take this trend, perhaps it's a sick pair of slip ons or heels, or maybe you're going all out in a snake skin dress. The key is to pick items that have the texture of a faux leather, rather than a cotton, for a more luxe look!

15. Luxe Leather
Speaking of luxe, how about some leather. This year invest in something leather, it will be the longest lasting piece in your wardrobe, be it a bag, jacket, dress or gloves. Try shaking it up and taking this trend to new places like a skirt, thigh high boots, a longer jacket, or maybe even a dress!
