This question defeats me, the fact that I have to pick just one amazingly, talented designer is too hard. I mean how does one choose between, Chanel and Dior, or Victoria Beckham or Chloé, or Givenchy and Saint Laurent?
But when applying for fashion schools, and programs this question often appears, and my answer is the one designer who's breath taking garments are unlike any, who's use of draping, motifs, textiles, and structure is unlike anyone else, Giambattista Valli.
As you may, or may not know, Spring 2015 Couture shows are currently in full swing, so I thought that I would round up my favourite looks from some of my, "favourite designers", starting with Giambattista Valli!
This season models donned black, mesh, dotted veils tied at the top in a bow, tones of tulle, and the most darling jackets from floor length to cropped capes. The mix of neutral black and white tones, with the contrasting, candy covered almond colours, came in the form of both full skirted gowns and wide legged jumpsuits. I cannot wait to see which celebs will choose to walk the red carpet in one of these beautiful creations this award season!
