Happy Canada Day!!!
As I sit here writing this post, I'm lucky enough to be snacking on some freshly, hand-picked strawberries from just down the road! This got me thinking..
Canada is a unbelievably beautiful, and safe place to live, and I think I can sometimes take for granted what I'm lucky enough to have; so I've made a list of some of my favourite things about Canada, oh and there's an outfit post in here somewhere, as well.
1. Living in Canada we get to experience all four seasons. The freezing winters, that bring flurries of delicate snowflakes and crystal blue skies. Spring that showcases bursts of blooming flowers and warm, fresh rain. Summer where the sun is a natural tour guide, leading the way for spontaneous road trips. And fall, or autumn, where the trees dress in warm shades of golden yellow, deep reds and burnt oranges, the air is cool, but sweet from the smell of apples growing. Plus four seasons= having a bigger wardrobe to accommodate the various temperatures.

3. Our reputation. No I'm not talking about the one in which we all live in igloos and ride polar bears to school, I'm referring to the world known reputation about Canadians being polite, kind, and welcoming people. It's the coolest thing to be able to sew a small Canadian flag to your jacket or suitcase and travel anywhere in the world and people treat you respectfully, because you are Canadian.
4. I gotta say it, free health care...

5. The fact that you can drive in a province that has over 13 million people and not pass a single person for miles.

6. Maple syrup... yes maple syrup; we make this delicious, naturally sweet topping, perfectly paired when poured over pancakes, waffles, bacon, carrots, ice-cream, etc. Trust me when I say you have never had maple syrup, until you have had Canadian maple syrup, boughten from your neighbour just down the road!

7. Fresh water, we are lucky enough to have many fresh water lakes, and streams! Water is something people should never take for granted! Ever.

Basically, I love Canada and everything it has to offer! Truly the list could go on and on, and maybe it should. No matter where you live in the world make a list of all the positives, now there will always be some negatives, I know Canada is not perfect, but if we could focus on the good, it will no doubt contribute to our happiness. I hope you all are having a great summer thus far, and once again Happy Canada Day!
