Fashion Terms Part 3

Dirndl Skirt- A full, wide skirt, with a tight, fitted waistline.

Herringbone- A V-shaped weave resembling the skeleton  of herring fish.

Jouy Print- A white or off-white background on which a repeated pattern, depicting a detailed scene, appears.

Knife Pleat- A sharp, narrow pleat.

Raglan- The style of a sleeve, where a continuous piece of fabric continues from the neck with no shoulder seam.

Lettuce Hem- The result of fabric being stretch as it's being sewn, resulting in a wavy hemline.
