Ok, so I know that when it comes to clothes, they add up and fast!!! I'll be in a store or online and then when I see the total of my items I'm in shock, because it's soo much. I thought that it would be helpful if I did a blog post on how to score a really chic outfit for under $50.00. So this may not be including all the accessories, and outwear, but just the basics! Here we go.

Behind The Brand: Mulberry
Today's post is going to be a brand focus on one of my all time favourite British luxury brands Mulberry.
- Mulberry was established in 1971 by a gentleman called, Roger Saul
- Mulberry is known for being quintessentially British, it celebrates British character and style by designing pieces that can be layered to suit the changing UK weather, as well as, using classic British silhouettes, such as the trench, duffel and pea coat, this brands style is the perfect balance of practical and intricate beauty
- Mulberry is also known for it's exquisite luxury leather goods
- Mulberry is without a head designer (as far as we know), ever since Emma Hill left last season, but Mulberry has been creating major hype for tomorrow at 1pm GMT when they'll reveal their secret
I hope you're enjoying London Fashion Week and all it's fabulousness. Seriously, I live for the engaging, energy that comes with fashion week, it's just so great!
What designer are you most excited to see this LFW? If you could be invited to sit front row at any show, which one would it be?
Have a great rest of your long weekend!

Fashion Terms Part 1
When it comes to fashion there are soo many different terms for clothes, jobs, trends, etc. and with new slang being invented each season it can be hard to keep up.
Here is a short list of some fashion terminology to get you started:
1. Ready-to-Wear (RTW)- The opposite of haute couture. Ready-to-wear is not made to measure, these collections are just purchased off the racks.
2. Haute Couture- Translates to "high sewing" in French. It refers to the creation of custom-made, hand-crafted garments.
3. Vintage- Old-fashioned or secondhand clothing, this can be applied to anything from Victorian-era dresses to a 1980 concert tee.
4. Monochrome- Using different shades and tints of one colour.
5. A-line- Fitted at the top (i.e. a shirt tighter at the shoulders, or a skirt tighter at the waist), and flares out at the bottom.
Hope this mini little dictionary has helped, I will occasionally add on to this so keep an eye out! Have a really great rest of the week!

You Wore It Better: NYFW A/W 2014 Street Style
This edition of You Wore It Better is inspired by street style spotted during NYFW A/W 2014. Since I'm not attending this fashion week doesn't mean I can't dress like I'm there, right?! So hopefully if you're feeling a little left out as well, this outfit will inspire you to dress like you were walking the streets of New York and attending all the fabulous shows.

Must Have Staples For Every Wardrobe
Over the last few years I have noticed a pattern when it comes to my wardrobe. At the end of the summer I tend to clean out my closet of the past years clothes. These clothes are the ones that no longer fit, have stains that cannot be removed, holes that cannot be mended or have faded in colour because I have worn them to death. This is both an exciting and sad time for me, exciting because it means making room for new pieces, but sad because, when you love clothes as much as I do, it can be hard to part ways. But every year I notice that there are the same staples that stay in my closet, these articles of clothing are timeless, classic, and must-haves for everyones wardrobe.
1. The Blazer
2. White Blouse

February 2014 Style Goal
Happy February, the month of love, the month of Autumn/Winter Fashion Weeks, the shortest month of the year and a new month means a new style goal. I hope you had fun with January 2014's style goal, it's just a great way to expand your fashion and styling boundaries.
This month's style goal is going to be mixing prints. This is definitely something I aim to be fearless at, and maybe this will be the month that I will be. There are some tips to mixing prints, like picking prints that are of similar size, and share a similar colour, but don't worry if that still doesn't make you feel 100% confident to wear this trend. Luckily, this is the month that Peter Pilotto's collaboration with Target arrives! This collection will make for easy pairing of prints and you'll get bonus styling points for the incredible structure and detailing that comes with the garments.
Peter Pilotto for Target will launch February 9, 2014 at select Target stores and globally at net-a-porter.com.
I wish you a huge amount of success this month with this style goal and with anything else important happening for you! What are your thoughts on the collaboration?
