Vogue Festival 2014 Recap

Since not everyone is lucky enough to attend this amazing event that happened this past week, I thought I would give a recap of what went down.

Saturday

Lucinda Chambers, Alexa Chung and Amanda Harlech spoke about how they achieve their own personal style and considered the true definition of personal style.

Two pairs of power teams, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, and Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier of London Cool, talked about the pros and cons of working with a partner.

Alexandra Shulman spoke about her career and the philosophy that she followed.

Manolo Blahnik, Tory Burch and Angela Missoni discussed the stories of their careers.

Alexandra Shulman talked to the legendary Valentino Garavani about how he achieved a brand and lifestyle that many lust over.

Sunday

Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Edie Campbell, Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn came together to talk about what it's really like to live life as a supermodel.

Nick Knight, Mary Katranyzou, Pixie Geldof, and Miroslave Duma spoke about what's next for the fashion industry in this digital world.

Grayson Perry, Lily Allen, and Jasper Conran talked about what taste truly is and does it really matter.

Then there was the Vogue Fashion Masterclass, where anyone who wants to get into the fashion industry needed to be. Lisa Armstrong, Sarah Burton, Daniel Marks, Alexandre Shulman,  and Louise Wilson all offered their personal insight on how to break into the industry. Here's where you can read a more detailed synopsis of what happened! [X]

Fashion legends Naomi Campbell and Franca Sozzani talked about how they built their careers.

Along with these great seminars was a Vogue Shop, a Vogue cafe, a beauty selection where you could get you're makeup done, as well as a hair studio where festival goers could choose between an array of different, on trend, hair styles. There was also a catwalk, where participants of the festival could strut their stuff  for actual industry photographer, and a places where they could have their very own Vogue cover shoot, because you know we all would love that; and to make it even better there was a selection of Chanel accessories to pose with!!

This sounds like a really fantastic time, if you want more information on anything else that happened head over to vogue.co.uk, here are two videos giving a brief overview of what happened on each day. Oh and Happy April!!
