What I'm Wearing: A Saturday Spent Shopping

Saturdays and shopping are two 's' words that I believed were meant for each other. Whether it be a mall, market or online, I love to spend my Saturdays browsing through unique and coveted pieces.

If I know that I'm going to be trying things on I will aim for an outfit that is easy to get on and off, perhaps a skirt; and if it's the winter, I will wear layers, because there is nothing worse than overheating in a crowded shop.

Today is overcast, even though spring is trying to bloom, so I went for a lightweight, yet warm denim jacket, a classic black and white striped tee, and a must-have staple, a great pair of black jeans, which are always a go to piece for me.

So here is my outfit of the day, and I hope you have a great Saturday!

Braids are the 'it' hair trend this spring, but when are they ever not on trend.
Braids can be classy or casual and when shopping it's nice to have your hair out of your face!

What To Wear Where: Festival ft. Wildfox

There's nothing quite like the style of festival goers. It's relaxed, creative, expressive, and colourful. What normally wouldn't work, seems to do so perfectly when standing in a crowd watching your favourite artist, or walking through a field filled with outlandish sights.

Todays post is going to be an inspired festival look which you can find at Wildfox, some of the pieces are from other sites, but the majority are available to get from www.wildfoxcouture.com ...enjoy!!

You Wore It Better ft. Suki Waterhouse

Hello I am blogging from one of the world's fashion capitals, New York, more to come on that later. With all of the amazing street style I've been spotting I thought that it would be a good idea to give you some style inspiration from Suki Waterhouse.

She is a British model and actress, and is also dating the blue-eyed beauty, Bradley Cooper. She is definitely one of my style icons, and maybe she will soon be one of yours as well. Speaking of my style icons, if you missed my last post where I told you who my top 5 style icons were you can read it here.

My Top 5 Style Icons

Happy International Women's Day!!! Today is the day to celebrate all the amazing attributes that come with being a woman, and one thing that us females are pretty kick ass at is fashion!

So here are my top 5 style icons, seriously this was so hard to pick only 5, but if I posted my whole list, you'd be reading for ages, so enjoy these 5 lovely ladies...

1. Barbara Palvin, her model-off-duty style is the perfect example of comfortable chic and yet still so fashionable, also all of her looks are really great sources for everyday inspiration.

2. Olivia Palmero, seriously this girl is the definition of fashion forward, all of her outfits are hits and rarely, if ever, does she have a miss, her impeccable style simply leaves me in awe.

3. Alexa Chung, she will forever be a fashion icon in my eyes, her style is effortlessly chic at all times, and she just seems like the best friend you'd want to have in your life forever.

4. Bridgette Bardot, not only does she have one of my favourite hair-dos, she also has an incredibly fabulous fashion sense, looking back on photos of her style always inspires me when I get stumped on my own look.

5. Jane Birkin, yes, yes and yes, she is one of my all time favourite style icons, her indie style is something I look towards when going to festivals or concerts and what is so special about her, is that her smile makes her outfits that much better, something I think we can all try to incorporate a little more of into our daily looks.

Who is your style icon? What woman inspires you?

March 2014 Style Goal

Can we just take a minute to catch our breath, because February went by soo fast! It was a great month for fashion with all of the award show red carpets and the start of Autumn/Winter 2014 Fashion Weeks. March was kicked off with the Academy Awards leaving some incredible fashion for us to talk about.

With a new month also comes a new month style goal! This month's goal is going to be adding bright and bold colours into your outfits. These colours will hopefully get you and everyone around you more excited for spring, but it will bring out your confidence. Wearing a bold colour will attract eyes and draw attention, so stand up straight and strut your stuff, like you're on the Saint Laurent runway. I'll leave you with some inspiration of pieces that you could wear.
